Move Sports actively encourage tour leaders to preview their chosen resort where they can assess the practical and safety issues of leading a group there. Move Sports commitment to the safety of clients is second to none and an inspection visit is an essential aspect of Move Sports Safety Management System.
More often than not inspection visits are compulsory for schools, youth and students group’s, therefore Move Sports advise that any group wishing to obtain an inspection visit at their preferred destination informs us at the earliest conjuncture.
INSPECTION VISITS
By having an inspection visit it is possible to view the accommodation and sporting facilities that will be used for training sessions and fixtures. This means the group will be fully equipped with all the environmental factors that play a huge part in combining a successful and safe tour. Additionally it provides the group with an ideal opportunity to meet the personnel that are organising the group tour.
In order to attend an inspection visit Move Sports ask that the tour leaders arrange the flights at their own cost but will be offered the following at little or no extra cost:
- 1 -2-night’s accommodation – this may incur a cost
- Tour of training and fixture facilities
- Inspection of accommodation facilities
- Visit local area: city or town
- Meet Move Sports team
- Free time
PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is the tour organiser’s responsibility to ensure that all members of the touring party have the appropriate passports and documentation. Please note that all passports must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the date of departure. This includes non/European citizens as Visa’s may be required. Non/European citizens are eligible to visit Portugal for tourist reasons for up to 90 days without a visa but persons must hold a passport valid for more than 3 months from the departure date. However, please check with embassy to confirm specific non-visa waiver arrangement with relevant countries and Portugal if the country is not from the E.U.
PARENTAL AUTHORITY
Tour organisers are responsible for all group members under the age of 18 for the duration of the sports tour and therefore in order to enter and exit Portugal, children who are travelling without their parents/legal guardians, must have consent forms/letter stating that the adults accompanying them have access rights and consent of the parents/legal guardians.
Please request a sample consent form from Move Sports which is suitable for entry and exit into Portugal.
PLAYING INSURANCE
For your own protection, Move Sports insists that all clients are fully insured for every tour. You must send policy details of playing insurance to Move Sports. Playing insurance is for all participants’ protection so please ensure that the policy is up to date and will cover all sporting activities.
SUITABLE FOOTWEAR
